You are making me so envious, Steve! I can't get them to show me their ruby crown.:-( Your shot here is truly excellent...very nice and sharp.

Thanks once again, Mike! It's funny because for years it was a rara avis that would show its crown. The last 8 months or so have been unusual with so many displaying. I like it that way! :-D

We visited the Lamington National Park in SE Qld where we saw these beautiful Crimson Rosella's near the O'Reilly's campgrounds , a parrot native to eastern and south eastern Australia. They are commonly found in, but not restricted to, mountain forests and gardens.
