You're up! :D

My wife's dad grew up in Akron; little tiny village in NY so we go visit his family pretty regularly up there. A Quiet Place II was being filmed last time we were there, it was really cool to see Main St reimagined for the set of the movie.

Thanks, but I'll pass it on to Roy as he has done the hard yakka. It's like soccer, Roy passed the ball perfectly and I only had to kick it in. Over to you Roy.

You're a gentleman Henk (I'll even overlook the fact that you called it Soccer:-))! I'm just off to bed now, so I'll post one in the morning.

Just had real problems with Akron as a little village until I realised I had the wrong state!

On reflection, I think it may better for someone else to take this, as I won't have easy access to the internet on Sunday or Monday and, if the WAIN hasn't gone by Saturday evening, I'll have difficulty replying.

That was a fun one. I tried the US locations first, like Mystic Seaport and so forth, but nothing. Also the structure of the signage didn't seem American. There are a lot of wharfside statues around the world! Finally found an image of it with the signs not blurred out, and took it from there. I assume it's along the southwest edge of the harbor where those buildings are. Who knows; she might get moved around from time to time.

Holland looks like a great area to go with a camera.

I'll look through my library this evening and see if I can find something interesting.

I'd have thought Europe first because of the way the gaff sail is furled.

In the USA, it is more common to furl a gaff like this image, where they lower the gaff:

@AntonLargiader. There are some lovely places to photograph in The Netherlands - I used to go there every year fishing and I also worked for a Dutch Company.
