A wild Eastern Water Dragon, a stack of 20 Frames using the Focus Bracketing capability of the EOS R3. High Speed Drive really makes these types of image quite feasible, with subjects that stay still for a second or two.

Handheld and Aligned and Stacked in PS CC.

Cheers

Beautiful images Dennis. Must have missed your move up the ladder. (R3)
They really show the lizard skin, texture etc off beautifully.

Steady on re our fierce wild animals though. You might put potential tourists off.
I suppose at least they'd be pre-warned :-P

LOL! Thanks Richard, the reptiles are ideal candidates for on-the-fly Focus Bracketing as they remain quite still, although as I scroll through the stack, you can often see the rise and fall of their chest as they breathe.

I traded in my 5D Mk IV for the R3.:-)

Cheers

This was quite a difficult shot for the AF of the EOS R3, as these savage animals move so quickly which can be a challenge for the AF to lock on and track...;-)a:grin:

Thanks Richard and yes, another stack using the Focus Bracketing capability of the EOS R3. I had my elbow resting on top of the wall of the enclosure to keep the camera steady. PS CC had no problems stacking the selected sub-set of 15 from the 20 frames taken.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

This Paper Wasp nest is located in a narrow strip of my neighbour's garden at the side of our carport and access is limited due to posts, fences, foliage, etc.

I can place my tripod in one access slot and mount the camera, but this position does limit how I can frame the nest.

This is a stack of 30 shots using the Helicon FB Tube, Aligned and Stacked in PS CC. It was a little breezy so the scene "drifted" between frames, but PS CC had no issues with aligning them. With so many wasps, you get the inevitable antennae and leg movement between frames which takes some manual Masking to fix.:-)

Cheers

Dennis
