Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Stone. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

There are a lot of kinds of stone.. Show us some.

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.
2. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
3. Post your shots at any time during the week.
4. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

These little cows are part of an art installation called
The lost cows of Lillooet. It represents the long ago
cattle drives in this area.

These stones are normally under several feet of water this time of year.

.
This is a stone / brick patio that I am building with my brothers. . Came back to Pennsylvania for a couple months because we have 2 good size hardscape projects to design and build. . It's great to have decent paying work, and great to have time with my family, who I don't see much because I live 3,000 miles away.

This "in progress" pic was taken last Tuesday. . It looks much different now, as it is almost finished and the jobsite is mostly cleaned up..

I'm also attaching a screenshot of the design of the patio, so that you can see it in plan view. . The grey circle represents a fire pit which we will be building next week. . Please forgive the blue grid - I design these on digital graph paper, with each square representing one square foot, as it aids greatly in laying the project out and in figuring material quantities.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
