Isn't forced perspective where you cause one object to seem to be big/small vs. an apparently adjacent object?

So Tower of Pisa being stepped on by your 6yo child, would be an example of forced perspective.

It would be neat to have a camera/lens the size of a bug so you could make weeds look like a jungle.

I love it! Very cool.

And some obviously totally missed the reference…

Not a case of 'win', merely making sure the right definition is understood, for commonality of terminology. Just like f/22 is not a 'big aperture number'

It's a good thing POTN has you here to 'make sure' we don’t inadvertently use the incorrect definition. Instead, maybe just coment on the photo in this photo forum and keep the terminology critiques to PM's, if it something you are truly compelled to do.

Something to consider.

That works when your photo is actually illustrating what you claimed in the subject.

What if I claimed, "Here is my macro HDR shot..."?

...not 'macro', not 'HDR'. And others would point that out.

Sorry you are so touchy about finding out. BTW you did a great job getting it all in focus in spite of very close focus distance to make a small object appear to be large.

Perhaps you can point me to the pun...I am missing where it is. Pardon my slowness.

The OP added a level to the pun...May the forced perspective be with you.

While he may not have followed the strict definition of forced perspective, his image is forced perspective in that he made a small Lego toy appear to be a large star destroyer (from Star Wars) near a planet.

Semantics aside... Cool pic! Would've never thought to make a star destroyer with such small legos. :D

OK, thanks, I did catch that pun 'force' vs 'fourth' originally. And the 'forced' perspective one was in the Subject.
