Boeing recently received a contract to convert older C-models to unmanned drones, but as noted in this article, they have been using them for nearly a decade. Boeing started converting F-16s into the first QF-16 drones in 2010...The first manned QF-16 flight was in May 2012, and the plane's first unmanned flight was in September 2013. The Moose is Loose!
