WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: Part 813 - Separation

Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Separation. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Many of you asked to do this theme again, so before you forget your ideas....

Show us things that keep things apart... Separation

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.
2. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
3. Post your shots at any time during the week.
4. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. That is a beauty Joayne. We had big rain here last night.

Thank You Kevin! We had clouds most of the afternoon and then wind blew them all away.
It was pretty clear.. I need a vision check! I have more garbage than keepers.
I didn't prepare during the day, thinking that it would be cloudy... So I didn't start
shooting until after the complete coverage by the earth's shadow...

Very little separation between vehicles in a convoy of 12 - 15 black Suburbans (with detachable police lights on top) that sped by and then stopped near me and the dogs on walkies this afternoon. Their RHs Charles and Camilla are visiting the location tomorrow (a quaint enclave fishing village within the city limits), so I'm assuming the events are related ... .

To separate the interior of an egg from the world outside, benefiting both

After struggling mightily to get decent photos of various species of warblers, due to busy backgrounds, on Saturday afternoon I was finally able to get some much needed subject / background separation with this Ovenbird. . It's like all day my camera was telling me, "if you can't put some serious distance between the bird and the vegetation behind it, then I can't help you."

This is very nicely done!

I especially like the position of the two parts of the eggshell, relative to one another. . I imagine you must have moved them around and adjusted their relative positions quite a bit before coming up with something so pleasing.

I also really like the position of the light source, relative to the eggshell. . That, too, looks very well thought through.
