Nice prop blurr on the Heritage flight! Too many people shoot those flights at high shutter speeds and freeze the props but you got it right!

That really is a rare treat. That usually happens when one of the teams is scheduled for an airshow that cancels, leaving a weekend gap. The teams do their scheduling at ICAS in December every year, usually scheduling their performances 2 years out. So it wouldn't be too hard to believe an event was scheduled, but in the course of 2 years, it falls apart (for finance or some unrelated reason).

That's exactly what happened. Blues were supposed to be at McGuire a couple of weeks ago, but that show was cancelled due to operational activities at the base. They were going to be in the area flying over the Naval Academy graduation this week, and had an opening in the schedule this weekend.
