Some nice shots in here recently.

I can sometimes have a bit of a backlog but are you guys really that far behind with your editing?

I can't speak for everyone but I'm certainly that far behind with some images.

The thing that happens with me is I only process the few best images. I might then go back later and work on others at a much later date.

Ditto for me, I almost always process a few from a shoot fairly quickly (days). I also have images flagged for processing that go back multiple years. Some of them I will never process and ultimately downgrade. Some are gems upon further consideration. Some just hang around . Currently that pool of images numbers over 300.

I like his version better.

This is a different image (vertical orientation) taken at almost the same time. I posted this earlier but I can't recall where at the moment, although I know it will tell me as I post this version again . Assuming both horizontal and vertical comps will work, I typically do both. That is a practice I developed many years ago.

I too wonder at times if and where I might have posted an image. Adding to the gallery on the first post used to help with that but unfortunately the sony A1 which i use predominantly isn't in the gear database and I cannot add to gallery. I could of course "cheat' by adding it under a different camera (A9) but I don't like doing that as it defeats the whole idea of recording what camera was used for the image. Sorry for the hijack!

I kind of like it being there. I think the better path would be some way of making it easier to get the info into the database. Perhaps a group effort of a different type of moderator, etc.

But for some photos such information is not available. For example analog photos. Should they be disallowed?

Well in a sense without the camera and lens info (exif) it won't let you add to gallery. They are not disallowed from being posted on the forums but cannot be added to the gallery, which really is a shame.
