My friend, who hates gin, asked me to make her a gin cocktail with basil, mint, and watermelon.

This was our creation, we call it The Hellfire Club. I made a couple of refinements from what we originally came up with. Super refreshing. Dangerously easy to drink. This might be my go-to summer cocktail.

2oz Berkshire Mountain Gin (or another brand more herbal than fruity)
0.25oz Cocchi Rosa
Bar Spoon Fernet
Bar Spoon Simple Syrup
1 Basil Leaf
1 Mint Leaf
Juice if a quarter lime
Sparkling Watermelon Juice

Add Fernet, simple, lime, and herbs to a shaker. Muddle. Add ice, add rest of liquor, shake. Pour into Collins glass over ice (pebble preferred). Top with watermelon juice. Garnish w/ mint and basil.
