Yeah, new camera, new files and software not updated yet. Would the Adobe dng converter work?

That box looks very nice though!

Have you updated it to 4.16.10.0?

Are you sure the camera actually focuses and you’re not just seeing the white tracking frame (=focus preview boxes, Canon now calls them ‘tracking frames’ in the R7 manual)?

EDIT: you can turn it off in AF menu 1, third entry: ‘Subject tracking’.

Found the answer. It seems it shares some of the menu system with the R3 along with its focusing. It was under 'Preview AF'. Disabled that and now it's fine.

Adobe LRC 11.4 has support for the R7/10 as well as Adobe Camera RAW 14.4. I was surprised to see this. After the experience of 1 year before the camera matching color profiles were available for the R5, the R7 was supported on day 1.

I have DPP 4.16.10.0 and Adobe DNG Converter 14.4.0.1121 (for Lightroom 6.14) both on Windows 10 working OK with my CR3 images from the R7. I've not tried c-RAW yet.

As a noise sample, here is a 100% 1:1 of an untouched DNG (from DNG Converter) at ISO 6400. The shot details are shown in the image (as it is a screen grab directly from Lightroom).

It had to be a setting. Glad you found it. And good info for other R7 users.

No DPP on an included disk?

Currently, Canon probably does not offer it on disk, at least here in Poland. But it's not a problem.
