Midsummer. Means that all of Finland is both out of town and out of reach.

Just back from covering a horse jumping event. T4 failed to start from powersaving mode at one point, only thing that helped was unscrewing the grip and taking battery out of the body.. Had the EV go blank on me in the middle of a burst too.. it corrected itself a couple of seconds later.. I can't help feel all these things are little bugs that need fixing in the firmware..
Is it wrong to will a rider to fall off their horse from treating it so badly?

I love her concentration and staying with the horse.

Aarhus in Denmark is home to the best barista in the world. I brought Reuben to have a taste and he was impressed.

Hello everyone, I figure I would make a post here first before listing anything for sale on Ebay. Would anyone be interested in buying my X100V? It has less than 200 shutter clicks and is in pristine condition. I have a few pictures I can share. I've posted it locally and am wanting to cast as wide a net as possible so if you are interested, please PM for details.

Have both cameras, although the GFX was on loan for a bit from Fuji I am about to buy my own one finally. Still keeping the X mount gear for now. The GFX will be mostly for portrait work.

I recognise that. It’s one of the locations Jonas Rask seems to visit quite often isn’t it.

Yes, it's the Skywalk on the top of the ARoS museum in Aarhus, Denmark. The other place he suggested I take in was the roof of the Salling store, & glad I did, it's an amazing space. We had lunch there too, which was good. You can see some of it in the foreground of the other post but here's a little bit. Lots of places to just hang out and have a drink or read of whatever. Worth a visit for sure.

I haven’t used the new v2 GFX yet but the older 50 I didn’t really get on with. The 100 I had pre launch and it was everything I needed but for the cost so I’m probably getting the 100s as that cameras AF and the few other things is a little bit more towards what I need. The 50s2 and 80/1.7 is a nice set up for sure. I do a bit of very high res printing every year so that extra res is where I need it.

Time to kill in the Airport so playing with the camera gear I have with me. My X-T4 & XF16-55/2.8 capturing a @Ryanair at liftoff from a soaked Billund. Dragging the shutter at 1/30 f/8 JPEG straight out of camera for this months theme of showing movement.

The GF 80mm is designed around being able to produce shallow depth of field and the character it produces. The AF is significantly hampered on this lens compared to the other GFX system lenses. I would try it in the store before deciding.

The GFX files are decidedly better and the GFX lenses are also decidedly better. That doesn’t mean you need better files. The X series is a very capable system and the lenses are great. But if you shoot the same image side by side with both cameras in the same light, you will see it in the files and you will see it in prints, especially as the print size gets bigger.

There are no bad lens choices. The 63 and 80 both have great qualities but also have some limitations you should be aware of before committing. I don’t think there are any concerns which are not obvious in the specs from any other lenses (as long as the size, weight, aperture options meet your needs).

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).
