Photojournalism...

On April 9, 1987, my wife and I took delivery of our brand new 1987 Buick Grand National. 35 years (and lots of memories) later, it's time to find its second home. We took the car to our local consignment dealer this morning. :-):-(

By some measures, the world's most intelligent birds: NZ's mountain parrot, the kea - in this case in Wellington Zoo.

I've recently added the R7 to go alongside my R6, but find myself coming back to the R6 if I don't need the extra reach. I just find this camera creates such beautifully clean, sharp and detailed images especially in lower light.

This is great. That lens looks like a great buy for the money.

I’ve been following this thread for a long time. I’m about to take the plunge to an R6 as a second mirrorless body since I just sent my last two mirrored DSLR’s and several lenses in for trade…

I went from the 5D4 to an “R” and the difference in controls was a pain. Ended up selling the 5D4 and getting a second R as a second body.

I sold one of the R’s to get an R5, in part because I was worried about “just” 20mp of the R6. The difference in controls between the R5 and R was also irritating, and after seeing what people were doing with the R6, I ended up selling the other R for an R6.

One of my main interests is wildlife and the reach of a crop has always been a plus. So of course I grabbed an R7 and have been very happy with it. Almost to the point of selling the R5 which doesn’t see much use. Interestingly, I don’t find the control differences between the R5/6 and R7 as bothersome as they difference between R and 5D or R and R5.

At this point I have decided to keep the R5 for now, don’t need to sell it as selling off my EF-M stuff and some lenses have almost covered the cost of the R7 kit along with an RF 100-500mm. For now I have the R “Trinity” R5/6/7 ;-)a

Makes sense to me. I am going to go ahead with the R6 for multiple reasons but I could also end up with an R7 (and end up with the same lineup you have) somewhere down the line after more research and results from my friends who are getting them. I had at one time a 5DIV, a6D, and a 7DII and used them all, for different purposes (wildlife vs music live vs landscape etc). And the controls were different on each one!!!! Irritating.

PS I bought an "R" when they were first released and sold it within a couple of months, it just didn't work for anything I used it for........
