That car was a puzzlement to me back in 1955 (I was a Junior in High School) and even now I fail to understand. Here Ford takes their "hardtop" (car with no door pillars) and adds that crown extension to the side window area thereby defeating the open air feeling that the "hardtop" models exemplified. And the car shown does not have the optional glass roof forward section that the "crown" option was designed for ⁉️ And something seems amiss with the chrome strip at the top of the windshield on the right side. Lou Good eye. I said it was a good 20 footer. The closer you get the more you see that needs attention. There is also a piece of chrome missing on the drivers side door. And there is a fair amount of pitting on most of the chrome. But it is a good starting point for someone with the passion to fix it right. The guy selling it was a retired car mechanic past 80 years old and was losing his eyesight.
