What a beautifully captured image!

I love the contrast at the top of the frames that allows the clouds to stand out from the background.

I also especially appreciate how "clean" the bottom of the frame is, with no visual distractions. That is usually really hard to do, to find a spot and an angle to shoot from that shows a clean clear foreground at the base of the mountains. Very nicely done!

Thanks. You are correct about finding a clean foreground, trying to find shots without any manmade features makes you realize how many powerlines there are in the world.

Yes. The picture was taken from a driving bus. Because of a turn the velocity went down and i could take the picture. The chopped trees can now be used as a chair to enjoy the view. The Dolomites have spectaculaire views. We were on the Pordoi pass and a guy on a bike came to the top. In the weekends it is difficult driving in the Dolomites because of the many people on their bikes. The GIRO is always some days in the Dolomites. On the Pordoi pass is a monument for the bikers of the GIRO. See the picture
