On Sunday afternoon I was at the Port of Brisbane trying to take photos of the shore birds. One day I must remember that the mornings are the best time at this location. I really wanted to play around with the OM-1's subject recognition auto focus.

I heard a noise of some birds flying above me and flung up the camera..... I think that I can say that the subject recognition worked.

Thank you Mike. I was very lucky. I retire at the end of the month. I reckon that I'll be playing around with a lot more birds in flight from then.
