I knew the Loon was in the lake and had tried to get pictures of it before and on this particular evening it made an appearance. It was almost like it was playing hide and seek with me. It would come kind of close to me and then dive under water. Never knew where it would surface. It could cover a lot of area before surfacing. Have gone back to the same lake a few times since hoping to get a better picture but I have yet to see it again. To me, there is a blue tint to the Loon and I don't know why that is. Maybe it's due to the light for the time of evening it was. Or maybe it's due to me just not knowing what I was doing regarding camera settings. You can always desaturate the blue selectively canongear wrote in post #19411437 ![]() Not the greatest picture of a Loon but I'm happy with it considering the time of day it was and the shutter speed used. Aug 04, 2022 12:31 | #2848 No prob! Low light or all of one like color/groups of color can lead to Auto white balance inaccuracies... I always try those sliders, as you can selectively increase / decrease saturation, and you can also increase/decrease brightness of select colors (just beware there's limitations so zoom in to double check) canongear wrote in post #19412075 ![]() Thank you. I didn't even think of desaturate the blue. Just gave it a quick go and I can see a difference. Nice tip. https://chrismarkes.smugmug.com/
