I just ordered a conversion from LifePixel, converting my X100T to 720 (just to keep it simple for the first steps). Looking forward to joining this thread in a few weeks. X100T XT3

I assume you've gone through the LifePixel tutorials on post-processing. YouTube will have many more. One free idea I can pass on to you is once you become comfortable with it all, to experiment by adding a circular polarizer to get darker skies when shooting 90 degrees from the Sun. Just preview the shot through the viewfinder first to set it.

I would definitely consider doing a full spectrum conversion for a fixed lens camera like that. Then you only need one filter for each of whatever wave lengths you want to experiment with. HaroldC3 Goldmember More info | Aug 09, 2022 08:39 | #950 I just sent my a6500 off to get converted to full spectrum. It looks like the IR Chrome filter is on back order. I’m hoping it won’t be longer than a month. I also wanted to do the cotton candy color but it looks like the B+W KB20 filter is not the easiest to find. Definitely looking forward to trying out both.

The IR chrome filter is probably my favorite one. It doesn't always work for a shot, but when it does it looks awesome, it's also really cool to get color IR shots without having to do channel swaps. HaroldC3 Goldmember More info | Aug 13, 2022 22:39 | #952 I got a bit of a shock today. In preparation for my full spectrum camera, I ordered several color filters. One of the effects I was going for was the cotton candy color. One of the filters needed for that is the B+W KB20 blue filter. I was experimenting in my backyard and stuck that on my 470nm Sony a6000 and to my amazement, I think I got a close representation of cotton candy IR! So I took the combo out this evening and captured some images. I'm really liking the output the combo is giving me. These are the colors pretty much out of camera with just some very minor tweaks. Now, if I can't replicate this with full spectrum I'll have to think about keeping my 470nm a6000 as well. Image hosted by forum (1173294) © HaroldC3 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. In the meantime, I took my a6000 out this evening and shot it with an 850nm filter. I've shot this subject before but only went here hoping for a nice sunset and it turned out to be too cloudy. This was really the only shot I got. Image hosted by forum (1174069) © HaroldC3 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.
