Amazing colours.
They must stand out in the bush.

Beautifully composed Pippan

Thanks Richard, and they do stand out. I have to admit though that lens, that my good mate above lent me, renders colour, detail and bokeh beautifully.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

A couple of the smaller birds from a recent camping trip in the Lamington National Park.

A Male Superb Fairy-Wren and a Red-Browed Finch.

Cheers

This inquisitive Eastern Yellow Robin landed on one of the guy ropes of our tent on a recent camping trip in the Lamington National Park (in southeast Queensland) as I was setting up. :-)

Cheers

Male Satin Bowerbird in the Lamington National Park, collecting twigs from which he builds an elaborate Bower, decorated with all manner of blue objects collected from the vicinity of the Bower, where he will then perform an intricate dance to attract females.

Cheers

Thanks, I had a Canon Speedlite in the hot shoe of the R5, set to High Speed Sync, to provide some much needed illumination as it was quite dark in the forest.

Cheers

Dennis

Female Flame Robin who is the mate of the previous posted Male Robin . They had a nest close to the balcony of the ski chalet we stay when skiing Falls Creek. The female did all the work catching the worms etc for their little ones as I never ever saw the male with a catch :) . They regularly come and perch next to the balcony of the lodge allowing for great eye level shots of them.
