This will finish it for me today. Pictures of an otter after a successful hunt. He is enjoying a brook trout for lunch. It was neat to actually see him chase the fish. After these shots I put the camera in the truck and took out the fly rod. Should have walked down to the edge of the water with the camera first. He surfaced about 30 feet from me. Would have made a beautiful shot. He was about 100 feet away for the attached shots.

Yes. The otter had spooked the trout in the gully. I found them in the pond just outside the end of the gully. Landed and released 32 brook trout. The biggest was about 10" long. I enjoyed it. Guessing the trout didn't
Then I'm off to another spot to try my luck again.

Summer is real short here so Fly fishing dominates my summer although I do try to make my trips dual purpose. Nothing to take pictures of then I go fishing. No fish then I look for things to take pictures of. And sometimes I get both - fish and pictures.

Originally tried some wildlife photography out at Killens Pond this morning. Unfortunately, the wildlife was uncooperative and I left empty handed. Fortunately for me., I spotted this Rockwell/Ayres S2R-T Thrush Commander spraying a cornfield. A conviently placed church parking lot enabled me to get these shots.
