A-Number-1 shot, Steve! Tack sharp. I had no idea that they are the most widely distributed native bird in the Americas. If I had to guess without looking it up, I would have guessed the house sparrow or maybe the house finch.

Super nice sharp image of the female Superb Fairy Wren, Richard! I really like her pose. She stands out beautifully from the excellent bokeh.

What a killer portrait shot of the Canada goose, fotoi! He/she looks so alive.

Incredibly nice shot of this little beauty, Steve! It's amazing how lifelike this Gnatcatcher appears.

Oops...not image, Jan! It apparently failed to load.

Terrific capture of the Carolina Chickadee, Wallace! Very sharp image.

Beautiful capture,, Jimmy! This shot is very cool looking with all the yellow.

A-1 shot of the eastern towhee, John!

The new camera is working well for you, Chris. Nice shot of the hen mallard!

Two nice hummer shots, Terry. You mentioned the fact that the R7 has it's drawbacks. Since I've been looking hard at this camera, I'm curious to know what drawbacks you are referring to. I would appreciate your thoughts about the R7. Thanks.

Both of these Gannet shots appear sharp and very nicely photographed, Trevor!

Many thanks, Mike.

Very nice, Mike! I really like the color scheme (gray, white, yellow, brown) of this bird and a bunch of other flycatchers.

Regarding, the House Wren, first, thanks for your comments! Your guess of the House Sparrow is a really good one. However, it looks as if the wren extends its range a bit more in S. America than does the sparrow.

Thank you for the Hummingbird compliments.

These are the things I see that may or may not be an issue for someone else.

Body is extremely small- too small for my hand. I have remedied this by altering a 50D handgrip to fit.
They should have made this battery grip ready.

Mech and Elec first curtain shutters are noisy- I do wildlife and that can be an issue.

The button and wheel layout are not user friendly- without that 3rd wheel ISO is cumbersome to change in a hurry.

Frame rate in electronic shutter is just inadequate. I will shoot electronic 15fps when needed.

Thats my thoughts in a nutshell- this really is a lot of camera in a small package.
