Well thank you that means a lot!
I have! Always wonderful shots from you! Kinda kicking myself for not going with the 150-600, but still love the 100-400. I’m assuming just go with the canon mIII if I can swing the money for the extender?
Well thank you that means a lot!

The 100-400 is giving you very good results! Do you have any other lenses? I am assuming you have a Canon camera body? Charles

As a rank amateur/beginner, it's very encouraging to get positive feedback. Photography in general and astrophotography in particular has been a dream for a long time. Getting my first digital SLR has finally made it possible and affordable to learn on the fly.

That’s honestly why I got my camera! But keep up the good work! I’ve honestly learned so much from this forum, just different ISO levels and such, you’ll pick up on it fast!

Yep I have the 80D (I do manual focus for my shots) I have smaller lenses a cheaper canon 70-300 the older version. But I primarily use canon 18-135 and sigma 100-400. I will look to see if that converter fits the 100-400.

(If it fits my sigma) I haven't gotten brave enough to try manual focus yet. So far AF has seemed to do okay for shooting the moon and Jupiter. Complete fail on Saturn though, not enough contrast I guess. Had to guess since there's nothing really to see visually. Ended up with every shot, but one just being a black field. Guessing I was way underexposing it.
