Truly a gorgeous shot of the wood duck, fotoi! Very appealing.

Great looking shot, Ed!

What a killer shot, John! It's a striking shot with all the beautiful color.

All about bird eyelashes.

Some birds have eyelashes.

1. Male Red junglefowl
His eyelashes are short.

2. Female Oriental pied-hornbill (external link)
Hornbill parrots may have the most beautiful eyelashes.

Even a female, mostly less colorful in the birds world, has extraordinary eyelahses.

These two parents apparently love having plenty of youngsters. It appears as though they believe strongly in adopting. What a great shot this is Paul!

Many thanks for the kindly compliment Mike, much appreciated.
This pair of Whistlers were escorting 22 Babies!
I read that they often combine families together.
Happy trails.

Very nice capture, Mike! At first glance, I wondered what kind of dove. I was surprised to see Mourning...the one you've got here looks so much slimmer and longer than ours.
