I would like to say camera can only record part (70%?) of the color range of the metalic coloring insects, two flies in this case.
The color is from mother nature and regenerated by flash. I think my Canon 600EX-R has wider color spetrum than my LED light/flash (white). The latrer is a little bit washout.
I do photo editing by LRC 99%. In most case, Profile (camera matching Landscape)->Auto->Masking. May apply NR by Topaz Denoise.
1% is by DPP if the photo is very noisy.
To think another way....there's always another way.
