That might work for some creatures, but from nature, we see that eyes need to be close to the central nervous center.

And it takes extra material to build that stalks and cabling system. It’s really luxury for a fly in such a tiny size.

It may copy the concept from the hammerhead shark or vice versa:-P

Nice shots. They sure look colorful! Was this because of any postprocessing? ;-)a

Green Stink Bug, one of my first shots with the new R7, and with the RF 100 macro. Neither is in the POTN database yet.

A bee on a flower. I doubt the bee appreciates the colorfulness of its surroundings. Taken with the RF 100mm.

I would like to say camera can only record part (70%?) of the color range of the metalic coloring insects, two flies in this case.

:lol:The color is from mother nature and regenerated by flash. I think my Canon 600EX-R has wider color spetrum than my LED light/flash (white). The latrer is a little bit washout.

I do photo editing by LRC 99%. In most case, Profile (camera matching Landscape)->Auto->Masking. May apply NR by Topaz Denoise.
1% is by DPP if the photo is very noisy.
