='Peano;19412826]Not competing, just practicing. Nothing special here, just a general cleanup. I wasn't really inspired by this photo, but hey, it's practice.

Peano you get number 2.

These were my other PP attempts, On1 for the first and SilverEfex for the second.

Thanks Bianchi. Had the notice pop up when I ran Neo a few days ago. Hope they are not moving other things to annual subscriptions like the Other Guys. Just wish they would focus on finishing NEO for existing clients before working up new stuff to sell.

While they have added in a few of the missing pieces recently, like dodge and burn, it is still - as of ver. 1.2.1(10104) - missing the cloning tool, which should have been in ver. 1.0.0 considering it has been well implemented in other Skylum software for years. Now, if I use Neo for what it can do, I have to go to AI or Lum4 for cloning. And of course AI is useless for layers, which means that Luminar 4 is still the most complete Skylum tool for a lot of work.

Frustrating thing is that pretty well all the individual Luminar tools work really well. If we could only have them in one application ... .

Would be interested in seeing how good the Extension packs are and if better than current options. I now use Skylum's Aurora for HDR (really good) and Topaz for denoise (also quite good).

... and, from the good old days, Canon F-1n, FTb, Mamiya 645 (m1000s), etc. -- Rob

Before and After - The Weekly Editing Challenge
...now compiled into a single, easy to locate thread, that can be added to your subscribe/follow list!

Rules are simple:

Download the image file from the current week

Contestants will have 7 days to edit the image and post their edited version to the thread (as many entries as you like)

The owner of the original image will choose a winner

The winner will copy & paste this post and include a new downloadable image link

The new image must be unedited / SOOC (straight our of camera), full-resolution, and in a RAW format, ie. CR2, DNG, TIF, etc

(Dropbox works well for uploading and linking these large files)

The purpose of this game is to be creative and learn new editing techniques. You must give some insight into exactly how you went about editing the image. For example, increased shadows sliders, reduced highlights, local sharpening, white balance adjustment, specific filters used, tone curve adjustments, etc. Comments and/or questions regarding the edits are encouraged.

Here are this weeks files: (let me know if the link is not working) https://www.dropbox.com …xosszgxyz8on8zcwaqn71y77q (external link)

Just a random comment... I had my X100T converted to IR, 720 nm. Here's an image from my first images this past weekend. There's so much more to learn! Cheers,

Still not competing, just playing around ...

Selective light adjustment of background and subject; skin healing.

Just practicing, not competing.

Added the indication of some light inside the gazebo, and put a kissy-face couple on the deck to enjoy the sunset.
