Chickadee. Actually taken with the R7 and RF-S 18-150mm.

Nice sharp image with the RF-S 18-150mm, Ed! When I buy an R7, I think I'll get the RF-S 18-150mm. Your Chickadee shot sold me.

Thanks, Mike! The chickadee shot looks good, doesn't it? The bird was really close and cooperative, and that helped. I don't actually know much about the quality of the RF 18-150mm lens, but believe it to be adequate for some situations. I do know it is real light and convenient.

Good settings. To reduce whatever ISO noise Canon has a weird ISO increments of every ISO 160.

So ISO

- 160
- 320
- 640
- 1250
- 2500
- 5000
- 10,000

These ISOs are cleaner than the next bump or bump down

Thanks, Paolo. I have heard this kind of thing before. It is odd but I believe it. However, I tend to shoot birds in auto ISO, and the advice is of limited use in such situations. Fortunately, noise is not a big issue in reasonable light with modern cameras.
