I remembered something I have seen other people do in the past but I had never thought of doing this. I have a second older 2.0 extender made by Kenko. I have just the Canon 1.4 iii - which works nicely with the 90D + Sigma. But your combo sure gives extra reach. ... and, from the good old days, Canon F-1n, FTb, Mamiya 645 (m1000s), etc. -- Rob

The 5D ii won’t autofocus if the max aperture is greater than 5.6, with the Signa and tc it is F9. The 300 will be F4 or F5.6 depending on whether it is the F2.8 or F4 Gear List Canon 70D, Canon 40D, Canon 70 - 200 2.8 IS, Canon 400 5.6
