Longer lens focal length - faster shutter speed. For faint sky objects, like nebula and galaxy - shutter speed have to be very long - up to 10 or more minutes.

In post-process in Photoshop or whatever you have you can clean it a little and picture will look better (more details) even it is a bit grainy. That is why the best way to do planetary photography is to take 1~2min video. There are some free applications to process the video and stack best frames in one picture. The result will be way much cleaner and sharper then single shot.

Sep 02, 2022 12:03 | #7544 I shot these before I saw the post about using higher ISO, so I was still just using 100 and 200. Though I have to say that even between the two of those, I still pretty consistently like the lower ISO better. Post processing is something that I have barely started to play with aside from tweaking contrast and brightness.
