The 40mm field of view has grown on me while shooting with the GF50mm. It sits nicely between 35 (great but sometimes justr a tad too wide) and 50 (classic, but just a little too tight for my brain). So, I went out and bought the 27mm mkii.

The original XF 27mm is probably the only lens I've ever regretted selling. I'll definitely pick another one up or the new version eventually. I agree, it's an awesome focal length. I recently got the Pergear 25mm too and it's pretty awesome for how cheap it is, I like it better than the 7artisans which I adored before it (unfortunately it fell apart after a couple of years though, hopefully the pergear will last longer).

I shot some jazz guys this past weekend at a favorite local pub/venue that recently reopened after an absence of more than a year due to damage maintenance from a snowmageddon-style winter [the AI censor deleted my apt adjective, and no offense meant] -slap storm in 2021 that wrecked Texas--nearly the whole state. It was a good homecoming. The 50 f/1.0 is a pleasure in these circumstances, for sure.

Took this with my new Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 lens. Looking forward to getting some Maine beach shots with it next weekend.

Fujifilm instax sensor, partially exposed when the film back ejection mechanism failed due to operator error.

Film back is fixed, figured I’d test it with the partially exposed film first.

Zinstax film back, instax square color film, Mamiya RZ Pro II at 110mm.

Tomatoes.

Each year we're trying to replicate our wedding portrait at the same location at the same time. But the toddler wouldn't agree to stand still for a second.

Just packing for my trip to Estes Park in CO. But thought I'd drop this shot from yesterdays wedding, when the bride spotted her Nanna in the church (she didn't know if she could make it or not, she's terminal. Came out of hospital 3 weeks ago).

A couple of BTS from last weeks day on location, we were shooting a commercial in both video and similar for stills. Going to shoot airplanes, both on and off, next week.

I can only 'like' this post but once... I'm right there with you, kids work kids work kids work. Keep carrying that camera, as it gives me some solace that there's someone here sorta sharing a similar path.
