I spotted these wild Eastern Water Dragons in the Roma Street Parklands, on my way to photograph the Australian Army Tiger and Taipan Helicopters practicing along the Brisbane River for the annual Riverfire festival.

The red chest colouration indicates a mature male.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Richard, these guys are quite used to people passing through the gardens and seem to have lost their fear of humans.:-)

You got both mamma and her chick in sharp focus, Richard. Definitely a very nice capture.

Thanks Mike, these guys are really fun to photograph, as they are so used to people and stay relatively still for us older folks. :-)

Cheers
