Continuing on my infrared journey. Here's one of my IR shots of the Artemis-1 rocket a couple of days prior to the first attempted launch. This is the LifePixel Super Blue IR filter (which allows below about about 350, and above 720, but filters out in between.

That Super Blue is awesome. You use an external filter or conversion?

Folks - Another question: For the 720, what is a desired WB out of the camera? Here is a screenshot of my Fuji RAF SOOC with custom white balance on the grass. Is this the right starting point? Thanks again!

Just trying to get out and shoot a few images while the clouds were around today. It's been boring clear skies for a long time. First one is with IRChrome, second one is 850nm.

It really depends on what you're going for. I set a custom white balance using a white balance card or cap and tweak from there in post.

When I set my custom WB on my 720 in my Canon, I aimed at the Sun-lit grass, with the Sun behind me. My goal was for IR B&W images.

This is my very first IR test photo - a part of my backyard. I just got back my old Canon 6D after astro-modding (full spectrum). I tested it with some random 37mm IR filter I had (not sure what's the cutoff wavelength - I guess 720nm?), and an old MF 28mm lens (f/5.6, ISO 1600). First the raw shot, then the B&W (no tinkering - only black/white points adjustments). The circular vignetting is due to the fact that the filter is small. I am happy I got the classic look (white greenery, black sky), without any tinkering.
