I just got there for this one. Props changing speeds a lot on these. I just got there and had it on 1/320. Should have been slower. Cone is spinning.

Great stuff.I didn't realise they were model aircraft. 1/160th seems to be the right shutter speed for the propellors???

Those planes are fast and the operators are showing off so they are speeding up and slowing down second by second. 1/160 is about the right formula based on what I have read. I just got there when the yellow plane went up and I shot with 1/320. Also the sun was behind me which made it great for the planes colours but I struggled to see what the prop blur looked like using the LCD. I didn't want to spend all my time chimping. :-)

My R5 has been out of service for almost a month due to a broken card door. It's back now from Canon and just like new. I had substituted the 7D Mark II in the meantime and discovered how good the R5 really is.

Neat perspective, and if you're a mouse, it's likely the last image you'll see. :-)

Yes it would! Almost seems like he's smiling/laughing while doing it too. Maniacal expression at least if in that context!

Thanks, Tom
