Going back and re-reading what you wrote...did you really take 5,000 pictures of the moon then stacked only 100 of those 5,000?

Why 5,000?? How long did it take to take 5,000 pictures?

The ZWO ASI174 is a monochrome high speed camera I run it using "Sharpcap" software at 128 FPS It is a single "AVI" of 5,000 frames. It took about 40 seconds to take the images. Then I use Autostakkert 3.0 to pull the 100 sharpest frames and stack them into a single TIF. Then sharpen a bit with wavelets in Registax 6.0 and then work in PS

I took a couple of shots of the Moon last night.

This one is taken with my Canon 90D, Sigma 150-600 at 600 and with my Sigma 2.0 Tele-Extender for 1200mm

I had been thinking for a few days for the next moon shot I do I would do something different. I remembered something I have seen other people do in the past but I had never thought of doing this. I have a second older 2.0 extender made by Kenko.

Using two tele-extenders at one time makes my setup now 2400mm!!!!

2400mm is a lot of horsepower, Charles. This 2400 mm shot surely did come out nice! Great job.

I apologize Charles. In my original post, I mistakenly said 1200 mm instead of 2400mm I corrected it above. Sorry for the blunder.
