For the lucky folks that bought the R7 with the 18-150mm kit lens, there are third party lens shades for it. I bought one off Amazon branded HUIFANGBU and it works fine.

Black-eyed Susan gone to seed. I liked the green tones in the sepals. Stacked in PS from 10 photos using the R7 focus bracketing feature. R7 and RF 100mm macro, natural light.

At first I wondered why people needed a grip on the R7, but then I started to realize that pressing the back buttons is so awkward when my hand is so close to the top of the camera. I am now thinking of one of these dummy grips.

That was my issue as well MPB.com has BG-E2's for $5 and $7 with free shipping, they work but for that price I don't mind "ruining" a working grip

The JCC version from Amazon works fine too.

I have the JJC version that I bought a few years ago for the EF-M 18-150. They’re basically the same lens and they use the same hood.

I have an orange cat and a brown cat. In HSL, they're both orange.

So I ordered my R7 body directly from Canon on 5/24 and received it on 6/27. I had thought that Canon would automatically register a product that was purchased directly from them. I just checked my account out of curiosity and the only thing they had registered was my R6 that I bought from my local camera store! Then, looking at my purchase history it says the R7 was delivered on 9/8 instead of 6/27. Does that mean the warranty is good for a year from the posted delivery date 9/8?

I recently sent one of our registered R7's in for service, not bought from Canon direct, and they required me to send a copy of my bill of sale with the camera. So they probably go by the date on the receipt would be my guess.

I am still on the body only list at Hunts and now starting to do some thinking. I picked up the R7 kit back July 2nd and now 20,000 click later I really love it. I loved my 90D but this is the 90D on steroids. It cures some of the issues I had with the 90D, only being able to assign one AF method to all the button, I mean all, not different AF modes to different buttons. Also the ISO performance is better. Those were my two big pet peeves.

I have been using the R7 with the RF600/11 the downside is that sometimes birds such as the Canada geese come in for a landing or take off too close for the 600. I have started carrying the 90D with my 70-300ii or even the 100-400Lii, although that is heavy for me. I could carry the 150-600 on the R7 that would cover it all pretty much but again with my bad legs it is heavy, however I think I will give it a go this week.
The problem with carrying the 90D is the controls etc are very different and it can cause confusion and I have to put one down and pick the other up. I have been keeping the 90D as a backup camera.

What does this all mean? I am wondering if and when I am notified they have an R7 body for me whether to sell the 90D and buy a second R7?

From this post and your previous posts it sounds like a no brainer to replace your 90D with another R7.
