Teals are pretty common in my area but they are difficult to approach. I shot these guys a couple of weeks ago ( heavy crop ) they are immature non-breeding plumage so not as striking as your example, your shot is really excellent.

Kirk, you've complimented a number of people for their work, but some of us (including me) don't know who you are referring to. You are far better off quoting the person and then making your comment, as most of us here do. That way there is no doubt about who you are talking to. I'm definitely not trying to come across in a snippy way. I just want to let you know that it's a lot easier on us to know who you are referring to.
