That's a very nice bif shot and a beautiful duck.

Kirk, you've complimented a number of people for their work, but some of us (including me) don't know who you are referring to. You are far better off quoting the person and then making your comment, as most of us here do. That way there is no doubt about who you are talking to. I'm definitely not trying to come across in a snippy way. I just want to let you know that it's a lot easier on us to know who you are referring to.

Cheers,

Mike

Outstanding flight shots of the great egret in flight, Kirk! Great work.

I was on the river in a friend's boat last night and was very surprised to see this Osprey hunting. I haven't seen any in over a week and figured they had all migrated by now. There is always a hold out I guess :-)

That's a fabulous shot LD, lots of detail, color, and pop. Good background separation also. Very nice.

Wonderful comments such as yours, are very rewarding and so appreciated, EB. I truly thank you for the kind compliment.

Wonderful capture of a beautiful Bird Mike.

Thank you very much, Paul. And I agree, they are a beautiful bird.

Nice liftoff shot Mike.

Thank you very much Ted. I truly appreciated the complement. Take a close look at her left wing, and you will notice that the end of her wing in not there. Several years ago, she was in some kind of traumatic accident. I don't have any idea what actually occurred. I would have bet a hundred dollars that she would not survive. But here she is, and doing quite well. She even had a drake green-winged teal attempt to mate with her, but that did not work out. I'm just glad I didn't bet $100.

Great light to work with Mike. Sweet shot.

Many thanks, Ted. I was lucky with the nice light.

Really nice flight shot!! Shows all this guy's beautiful features. Wow.

Thanks so much Ed for the wonderful compliment. I surely do appreciate it.

It doesn't get much better than this Mike. One to frame and hang over the mantlepiece, such a beautiful and elegant shot, nature at its best.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

I thought I posted a thanks to this wonderful comment, but I can't find it anywhere. So let me thank you one again. This compliment really made my day, Dennis! It is so rewarding to receive praise such as yours. I was happy with the shot, but you made me a whole lot happier.

Yeah, I noticed that afterwards and wondered why it came out that way. In other forums you simply click reply so that's what I did but apparently, it's different here. I'll quote them for now on, thanks!

Real nice set. Was the first shot taken at Anna Maria Island? It looks very familiar.

THANK YOU!
I was scouting Anna Maria Island for a sunset location and found this pier that had a few pelicans flying around, and diving into the water.

Thank you Mike, much appreciated.
It was a fascinating sight to observe.
The Skimmers were circling around their sandy nest-site which produced around 300 Chicks this season.
Happy trails.
