I think that this Peewee (Magpie-lark) was dive bombing its own reflection in the lake, believing that it was a territorial intruder.:-)

I wasn't set up for in-flight shots hence the too-slow shutter speed.

Cheers

Dennis

Very nicely captured flight shot, Dennis!

Thank you kindly Mike.
The Hawk had lightened It's load moments earlier and pooped so I was ready for take-off.

You really nailed this flight shot of the Purple Heron, RAL!

Truly a nice one, Ed! Love that large wing span.

>snip.

Thanks Mike, these shots were rescued by some good karma and technology. I was in the wrong spot, with the wrong settings, shooting into the light, didn't have time to settle, yet the R5 and RF 100-500 managed to save the day, with a little help from PS CC.:-);-)a

Cheers

Dennis

Excellent flight capture of the Turkey Vulture, EB! Like you, I've been doing some shooting with my 400 F4 DO. It's a great lens no doubt, but now a days I notice it's quite heavy to lug around.

Thanks LD, appreciate it. Yes the DO is right at the limit of what I'm prepared to carry for handheld shooting, but I'm really liking it on the R7, so it's been getting out a bit more recently as I test that camera!

Two magnificent flight shots, EB! I especially like the close-up of the Long-billed Curlew. It's an exceptionally nicely done flight shot!

Wow well done. I'll bet they're not easy to catch in flight.
