Nice image- nice symmetry and colors. Maybe I'll see it from that perspective some day

There's so much to see at MV and the surrounding area...

You can stay right there at The View Hotel: https://monumentvalleyview.com/ (external link)

Basically you have that view from nearly every room in the place... or you can go on a photo tour actually INTO the park - there's a number of photo guides... then you can come back to hotel for dinner or watch sunrise while having breakfast.. Worth the $100-$300 depending upon when you book/supply/demand/politics/which direction the wind is blowing/etc. I think I paid $139 for one night in December of 2019 - which - was a grand total of $10 more than the next hotel available in Kayenta (it was december - cold and the KOA fills up virtually year round so...).

I didn't do the photo tour as I had to be in Phoenix the next day, but I talked to 3 other guests that all had a great time and suggested this guy: https://monumentvalley.com/tours/ (external link)

Get out n see it! especially with snow cover - just don't forget to bundle up - it gets deceptively COLD there with the dry air + elevation...

Hypnotic mood at Lake Ballard in Western Australia. The sculpture is a part of a massive outdoor art installation by Antony Gormley titled "Inside Australia".

Bucket list for me. I'm happy, but can now improve on these. These were taken at Cheela Plains Station in Western Australia. Literally 20 feet from out porch. markesc I stole your settings as a starting point and kept them as they seemed to work.

Thanks for the information! I do hope to make use of it. Usually, I see those from roughly 20,000 feet above them and 10 miles distance.

All good!!

If you can, try ISO 6400... and 2700 Kelvin for any fill lighting if you want warm light vs. cool dark skies (you may need to adjust your color temp on your raw files)
