I actually was in Arches, then left, was in the drive through at Giliburtos getting my fave burrito, and checked radar - turns out just a small cluster of T-Storms was heading towards the park, grabbed my food and back up into the park!

If you're in that region - check radar - if you see storms moving from the sw towards the ne, the "La Sal Mt viewpoint" is the 2nd turnoff just past the Park avenue area... and.. it's a more elevated composition compared to the pull outs in the distance, so you have the option for several focal lengths... only crappy part is that car headlights will hit you from that angle, so you sorta have to time it a bit, or just take a bunch!

Nice picture, that weirdness (water drop on the lens maybe?) on the right side is distracting, looks like that is something that could be cloned out.

I heard you it is distracting, for me it is a story behind that flare that I don't share much , people are skeptikal or don't belive in strange things. It was a dry early morning, it did rain the day before , I set my tripod up camera ready ,and I felt a cold breeze touching my right shoulder at the time of the click and I felt like something flew at light speed passing by me. Whatever that was is been capture.
