He was in his bath and if I didn't know better I'd say he was fully posing for me, so it seemed rude not to. :)

The pattern, shape and how the bird's head is angled comes across as very snake-like if you look at it through your periphery vision.

Now you mention it, he was looking around a lot and his movement was quite 'serpentine'.

Very nice Mike.
The colours, background and that backward looking pose. All work together beautifully

Been a while but here is a young Crimson Rosella coming into adult plumage from yesterday.

Welcome back Graham :-), and what a lovely shot. Classic pose.
Interesting feather colours
I really like that. Very lifelike. Like being in the scrub observing it.

Great shot, Ozulrike! I like the blurry colorful background. It adds nice color to the entire photo.

not a common bird around here.

Two nicely captured shots, Richard...especially the one on the barbed wire fence post!

This is truly a beauty, John! The Tufted Titmouse is so sharp, and really has a 3D appearance against the wonderful buttery blurry background. Great work!

This Blue-headed Vireo has made such nice eye contact with you, Steve. You manage this on so many of your small bird shots. I'm wonder if you use a whistle or some other sound device to get get their attention at times? In my case, I frequently use duck and goose calls to get eye contact with waterfowl.

This is truly a lovely capture! I certainly do enjoy it.
