Lame-Duck I have indeed had pine nuts More info | Oct 04, 2022 18:04 | #5142 Bill in Texas wrote in post #19432012 ![]() What a beautiful, sharp flight shot over the water, Bill! sidknee wrote in post #19432031 Thanks very much for the great comment EBCowboy, it's always good to hear what makes a photo appealing to others. cheers! ![]() Thanks Mike, as it happens this particular juvenile has started hanging out at the pond area right in front of my hide, I've watched it hunting from the perches there, I don't know what it was catching as the grass is too long to see, trying to catch beetles off the surface of the pond and just hanging out. Yesterday afternoon I was 1/2 hour late for my dinner because the bird was not leaving the area and I didn't want to just get out the hide and scare it off, had to wait and take pictures off course. I got a trail cam there all the time and that has produced tons of footage of the bird at the pond too. My hide is about 2 metres behind the trail cam. Vid doesn't seem to work, if you click on the link it will take you to flickr where it does work! ![]() Nice video, Sid. You must be have a lot of fun shooting this guy! sidknee wrote in post #19432035 ![]() curlew You really connected nicely with this pair of curlews, Sid! You really nailed this shot. I love to photograph waterfowl, but pintails and woodies are, my favorites to try and capture in flight. Wow Cog...this is truly an amazing capture! I can't remember seeing a better shot of a barn swallow in flight. Thanks Mike, appreciate the comment. I had been waiting for a perched Osprey to start fishing for what felt like forever when this little guy showed up striking across the pond, very low to the water, I was happy to get some shots of him. I also managed to photograph a female in flight but haven't got around to posting it yet. Sony A1, A7R2
