A little gull! Another nice find, Patrick. I have never even seen one here.

Thank you, I don't think I've seen one either.
No more different kinds of gull, just 2 with(intentional) slow shutterspeed.

The first shot is especially nice, really showing the bird’s movement but sharp where it needs to be.

More great shots, Sid. All three shots are wonderful, but that second shot is fantastic. That’s a wall hanger for sure!

I didn't know my voice reached all the way to the other side of the world:lol:.

Patrick this thread really has a different atmosphere to some others.
You (well I can  ) hear the conversation. It's not just words to me.
It's an illustrated narrative of your beautiful birds and their environs :-)

Maybe, with those ears, it can fly, but it is still not a bird. ;-)a

That is one impressive looking bird, Jose.
Did he get lost or is he fairly common in Portugal?

Unfortunately not as common as they once were, approx 120 breeding pairs in Portugal. I use to see them quite a bit during the summer months up in our part of Portugal but they are becoming rarer to see. They breed in the canyons of the Douro river ( a photo I posted earlier in the thread ) and migrate to Africa for the winter.
