Young ones playing.

Thanks, Pippan.
As you said, they are young and playful.

What a superb action pose! Love their positions complementing each other yet aligned. Well captured. Very nice.

Thanks, EBCowboy.
They are as agile as eagles. Oops, they are eagles.

Purple Heron (Ardea purpurea) (external link) by Paolo Dolina (external link), on Flickr

Large heron with rusty head and streaky neck; juvenile is extensively rusty brown on upperparts. Favors fresh marshes with tall reeds and other vegetation. Often more retiring than Gray Heron and rarely seen in open situations. Only likely to be confused with larger and bulkier Gray Heron, which is paler and grayer overall, with a stouter bill.

Thank you Mike for the kindly compliment and concern.
We were lucky this time around being 70 miles north of the category 4 hurricane eye.
Minimal damage to the house, but substantial damage to the trees. Five days without power.
Mother Nature always shows us who's the Boss.
Happy trails.

Great capture, Paul!
I'm surely glad to hear you avoided serious damage to you home, and you and your family are all, OK.

That indeed is impressive. Bee-eaters are notoriously difficult to photograph
