we were treated to a spectacle tonight when mother showed junior off. Bennets Wallaby

Hoping for better light but satisfied just to watch them

January this year she had a hairless joey that disappeared shortly after and the mother looked liked she'd been in a rather vicious fight.
I expect this one will soon be hopping about

What an absolutely charming shot, Richard! This most certainly had to be a welcome surprise! I wish this little Joey the best of luck.

Beautifully captured hen wigeon shot, fotoi! The sharpness and detail are spot on.

Two very nice captures, Stephen! You certainly nailed the sharpness. In the adult image, the eye detail is truly amazing.

Thanks Mike! The Stone-curlew's defence mechanism is to lie low on the ground and freeze, so they are good photography subjects :-)

This Bluebottle Blowfly was sunning itself on a wooden beam in the back garden and didn't seem to mind me taking a few shots.:-)

This face on shot is a composite of two frames with the AF on the eyes and then manually moved to along the body, to extend the DOF.

Taken with the Canon RF 100mm F2.8L IS USM macro lens (not yet in database).

Cheers

Dennis

Pretty obvious what that cow's thinking: "Smells like you're wearing one of my brothers!"
