Very nice sharpness and color in this hen mallard shot, fotoi!

Nice Sandhill capture, Mark!

Sorry to disagree with you Kirk, but I don't see anything you have to be disappointed with in these two shots. I really like the two of them, but the tern in a power dive is fantastic!

Ken, this Whimbrel shot is a Dandy! You composed it beautifully! I find it very appealing.

Very nice capture, Joe! Great color, and I really like this guy's beak open expression.

Nice shots of these two sapsuckers, Steve. They both are very sharp.

Incredibly nice close-up capture of the Sandhill Crane, Paul! The sharpness and detail are superb! You certainly did manage to get close to this one.

Very nice shot, Rich!

Thank you.

Love it! A minimalistic bird portrait. You don't see that every day.

Thank you kindly Mike.
That pair of Sandhill Cranes raised 2 colts that thankfully weathered the Hurricane and are okay.:-)
Happy trails.

Philippine Serpent Eagle (Spilornis holospilus) (external link) by Paolo Dolina (external link), on Flickr

A fairly large, common raptor of forest and more open wooded areas from the lowlands to the lower mountains. Dark brown with white speckles on the crown and upperparts, rufous-brown below with large white spots. Note the gray cheek and yellow eye. Differs from other raptors in its range by its bare yellow skin between the bill and eye, and in flight by its dark terminal band to the wings and tail. Often gives a whistled “weeeeeuuuu weu weu” in flight, or sometimes just a single note.

A mix of laughing gulls and terns for the first pic and a ruddy turnstone in the 2nd shot.
