Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Tiny. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us some Tiny stuff... .. .

Here are the rules:
1. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.

2. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
3. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
4. Post your shots at any time during the week.
5. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Tiny potatoes, tiny onion. A salad for Tom Thumb? The dish is 2 3/4 inches/~15 mm wide.

Takes the flies a while, too. That's how they end up as bugger parts.

Wow!

Is this near where you live in southern CA?

Is it a naturally occurring, wild lizard, or in a zoo or preserve, or a nonnative species?

If you have wild, native lizards like this running around down there, then that makes me want to plan a CA detour into my next trip to Arizona! . For me, a lizard that colorful and cool looking would be well worth an extra 800 or so miles of travel.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

It's a lizard in my yard.. I live in the Mojave Desert near Palm Springs. We do have some nice lizards, some very large lizards too.. Chuckwallas, Alligator Lizards, Fringed-Toed Lizard, Western Banded Gecko, Horned Lizard, Gila Monsters.. The one pictured is the Western Whiptail Lizard. He lives on my back patio among my potted plants. The flower is a Stapelia Gigantea and has a smell like rotting flesh . It attracts flies and the flies attract the lizard. He had many a good meal on this years blooms. Here (external link) and Here (external link) are some examples of other lizards in the area.

He is also lightening fast and can leap long .. I watched him catch 3 flies in a matter of a couple minutes.
