Love the way it just melts that background. Hoping to add a 600 f4 to my kit for next years bird season but I need to sell a bunch of my lenses to finance it:lol:

Black-Headed Gulls.
These guys were swooping on a local lake to try their luck for a nice juicy duckling - but fortunately for the gulls, the ducklings were chased deep into the reeds by their parents.

The Shag & a sand eel

On a recent fishing trip to Ireland this Common Shag had significantly more success than me!

Sweet shots, Ray.

Your shots of the Black-headed gulls made me smile. They’re such pretty, elegant birds, especially compared to their big and bulky cousins the Herring gulls or Lesser black-backed gulls. I have a very large group of them here, although they’re wearing their non-breeding coat now of course.

Well, this is a nice catch too, though, albeit of a different type. :-P

Nice, Ray. The blacks are very well controlled.

Thank you Levina - My first shot with the R7 - I received it about lunch time and I just stuck a lens on it and it just so happened a Crow appeared on the bird bath and then flew onto the shed roof - I had to move quick - no time to worry too much about settings!:-)

Finally a pic from me again. An Egyptian Goose, caught, literally, in the last light of day. You might think that I boosted the colours, but I didn't. This is pretty much SOOC. Just cropped a tiny bit and resized.
