Very cool looking shot, Pippan! This Shining Flycatcher's nest appears to be very strong and well constructed.

It is. And the male helps with building it, sitting, and feeding the chicks. This pair was considerate enough to build it low and close to a boardwalk, making photos not even a challenge. I'm looking forward to the chicks hatching. A potential flaw in their plan might be that they built it about 5 feet above the water in a crocodile enclosure.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

What a terrific colorful shot of the Orange-crowned Warbler, Steve! It's a tack sharp image with beautiful lighting. This Warbler is so nicely separated from the lovely colorful background.

I've never seen it either, Phil. These two grebe shots are very are quite nicely captured. Love the low camera angle.

Very nicely done shot, Ken! I think I might know which one the female is.:-)

Splendid capture, Tom! The lighting and composition are great.

Terrific capture of the Black-crowned Night Heron, Paolo! He's doing a bit of construction work, I see.

Outstanding, sharp image of the Palm Warbler, Paul! So nicely captured!

Gorgeous shot, Jose!

Many thanks Mike.

Thanks, Mike. It works well enough for birds in city parks.

Thanks Mike.

Given that 99% of the time I see them in the water (typically soon to disappear underwater), the big belly even seems odd.
Amazing what a different perspective can bring.

Hi Peter...

Beautiful photograph of an elegant owl. Great composition with the barbed wire and depth of field leading in and isolating the owl.
