Wow!

I've been in "photography slumber" for the past few months; then this beauty decided to visit my yard, effectively waking me up. :-)

All are good pics, Ken, but the first is particularly nice with that perfect reflection.

A herd of blue wildebees and springboks on the move in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. A tip for those who like panning or would like to give it a go - during the middle of a clear day when the light is harsh, I prefer to either shoot with a black and white conversion in mind or my new favorite, panning shots of animals on the move. You need a neutral density filter for this though (usually 6 stops, depending on the light), in order to get the lower shutter speeds that you'll need to shoot at, such as 1/25 or sometimes even less. The IS setting 2 on this lens helps with panning shots.

I love this shot, Charles. And so well executed. The info is also most helpful and it's great that you are sharing that.

The B&W image of the Gemsbok is also wonderful.

But then, your images never fail to impress me.

Nice work!!! I have tried this with the wild horses on the Salt River - but - too many trees/distractions - so hope to again with more open areas if there are any wild horses in N. Utah... Or send me on a trip there!!

Again nice shot and description!
